Black Zinc

The ARCHON Ball Bearing / Brass Bushing Barbells are coated with zinc onto the steel providing a high-quality finish with strong resistance to corrosion. Our bars are finished with a black zinc finish, so not only are they corrosion resistant, but look great as well!

CERAKOTE

A CERAKOTE finished barbell provides a protective ceramic finish giving your bar superior strength and durability against corrosion and scratching. CERAKOTE coating offers 100x more corrosion resistance than black zinc (Our other premium coating). Originally CERAKOTE was used on weapons to protect in marine environments, sweating or hot and dusty environments. Keep in mind, metal-to-metal contact will cause barbells to wear overtime, so be sure to maintain your barbells regardless of the coating.

Many brands, including prominent ones, utilize bushings only. ARCHON bars, by having bushings, combined with performance ball bearings, produce a smooth controlled whip. “A Superior performance barbell.” Our performance ball bearings are strong, fast, and will produce excellent spin. Needle Bearings are substantially larger, stronger, and faster, producing a great whip. These bearings have a larger contact surface area when the bar is under impact.
